St. Philip’s Episcopal Church is seeking a dedicated and passionate music director to guide our volunteer choir and community in worship.

Responsibilities include:

● Accompanying all Sunday worship services and special services (i.e. Holy Week,

Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday)

● Selecting music and distributing those selections to the rector and bulletin creator by the

Tuesday preceding each Sunday service.

● Distributing to the volunteer choir members music and other materials to support the

learning of any new music.

● Arriving an hour in advance of each worship service in order to personally rehearse,

rehearse the choir, and talk through changes with the rector

● Scheduling rehearsals with the choir on Sunday mornings or during the week as

necessary

● Pre-recording music for use by the choir to accompany the congregation on those

Sundays when the music director cannot be physically present

● Accompanying, as scheduling allows, funerals and weddings that occur at the church.

This position will remain open until filled.
